FM discusses regional cooperation, integrations

SKOPJE -- Serbian Foreign Minister and First Deputy Prime Miniter Ivica Dačić was in Skopje on Monday where he discussed "challenges of EU integration of both countries."

Dačić met with Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov and President of the Macedonian Parliament Trajko Veljanovski, with whom he discussed "the current regional and global issues."

Ivanov said that the focus of cooperation between the two countries in the future should be economic ties and joint ventures, the news agency MIA report

Veljanovski and Dačić expressed a desire for more rapid integration of the two countries in the European Union and discuss the challenges that stand in the way of European integration emphasizing mutual support.

Dačić and his hosts expressed their willingness to strengthen regional cooperation, especially economic, as well as to continue the cultivation of friendly relations between the two countries.

Ministers of foreign affairs of Serbia and Macedonia earlier in the day signed an agreement on joint use of diplomatic and consular missions abroad.
