Vucic talks films and Serbia-Russia relations with Mikhalkov

BELGRADE - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Thursday with Russian film director Nikita Mikhalkov and discussed the director's achievements in film, premiere of his latest film in Belgrade and relations between Serbia and Russia.

Mikhalkov is in Belgrade for the world premiere of his film Sunstroke.

Vucic stressed he was honoured by Mikhalkov's visit, adding that his films had left a mark on the global cinematography, the government office for media relations has stated.

Mikhalkov underscored he was pleased to be in a country of brave people who guarded their history and tradition, but also cared about their future and made decisions independently, despite all the pressure.

According to the famous director, it is one of the reasons he picked Belgrade for the world premier of Suntroke.
