Melescanu: President didn't ask specifically for a list, but for names of undercover spies in Government

Former Foreign Intelligence Service (SIE) head Teodor Melescanu said on Friday that President Traian Basescu didn't request him to present a list, but the names of Government members that also served as undercover officers.

"If this talk is specifically about a list, then it's correct, the President didn't ask for a list, he asked for the names of Government members who are also undercover officers. But 'names' means several people, this is why I referred to a list of covert officers," presidential candidate Teodor Melescanu told a press conference.
