Indian summer over, rain and snow forecast

BELGRADE -- Colder weather is expected in Serbia starting on Wednesday, first in northwestern areas, and by the end of the day elsewhere in the country.

The period of warm and often sunny weather, with temperatures reaching over 20 degrees Celsius, will end - most areas will experience clouds and rain, while mountains will see snowfall.

The state meteorological authority (RHMZ) announced on Tuesday that gale-force winds are expected in the northern province of Vojvodina tomorrow,.

Temperatures will range from six to 14 degrees, with up to 20 degrees still expected on Wednesday in the southeast.

There will be rain and moderate to strong northwestern winds in Belgrade.

Thursday and Friday will be colder with more precipitation, with snow cover forming on mountains.

Saturday will be cloudy and dry in much of the country.

Starting on Sunday, the weather will be sunny and slightly warmer, with temperatures dropping below 0 degrees Celsius in some areas during the night.
