Missiles fired at government building in Skopje
SKOPJE -- Two missiles have been fired at the Macedonian government building, reports from Skopje said on Wednesday.
The incident happened late on Tuesday. The police have collected the evidence and sent it for analysis.
According to the local media, who quoted a brief police statement, two detonations were heard around 22:00 CET, while the missiles were found lodged in the building's facade.
No other details are known at this time, while media outlets noted that this was "the first time that the government building was attacked from a short distance."
The reports said that in 2007 two shells were fired close to the government premises, and that a spokesman at the time described the incident as an act of terrorism.
