"Serbia shows crime pays" ex official says after EU decision

BELGRADE -- Žarko Korać, a longtime MP who served as deputy prime minister in the government of Zoran Đinđić, has said that "Serbia in a way showed that crime pays."

His comments came after media reports that the EU had lifted sanctions against late Serbian and Yugoslav President Slobodan Milošević and his associates and family members. The reason Korać believes Serbia proved that crime pays is that "those people live in peace."...
