How posters looked like during Great War?

BELGRADE - On the occasion of 100 years since the beginning of World War I, the Museum of Applied Art in Belgrade will stage an exhibition "War and poster: 1914-1918", which will be opened by November 6.

Posters were the only means of mass communication during the Great War, and they are a kind of historical documents.

The three-day exhibition will include three segments: Posters in the world, Serbia on the poster and Posters in Serbia, and it will premier the poster campaigns to help Serbia that the allies conducted in France, Great Britain and the U.S.

The author of the exhibition is Vladimir Ceh, founder of the Institute for the History of Advertising, and the event is being organized in cooperation with the Museum of Applied Art and under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
