Djokovic through to Paris Masters quarter-finals

PARIS - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the current world number one in men's tennis, has reached the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters tournament by beating France's Gael Monfils 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) late Thursday.

Continuing his domination against Monfils, Djokovic claimed his 11th victory in as many matches against the Frenchman.

In the quarter-finals of the season-ending Masters tournament, title holder Djokovic will face Andy Murray, who beat Bulgaria's Grigori Dimitrov 6-3, 6-3 earlier on Thursday.

The Serbian has an impressive head-to-head ratio against Murray, too, having won 14 of his 22 matches against the Briton.

The prize money at the Paris tournament is EUR 3.45 million.
