Dodik: Opportunity for RS to be heard of
BELGRADE - The meeting of the Trilateral Commission in Belgrade was an opportunity for the economic and global elite to hear about the existence of Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, president of the RS, one of the two entities in Bosnia-Herzegovina, has said.
Dodik told reporters at Belgrade's Crowne Plaza Hotel on Saturday that it was very important that those present at the meeting of the European branch of the Trilateral Commission, currently held in Belgrade, heard something about Republika Srpska, about its economic, political and financial position, as well as about its efforts to build stable institutions and implement the Dayton agreement.
"European countries are creating some European programs for the Western Balkans and it will be very important to strengthen those efforts. Republika Srpska cannot be bypassed in this process," Dodik said, observing that the meeting had been attended by powerful people from the worlds of finance, politics and business, and from investment funds and banks, whose impact on global processes and trends was enormous.
The three-day meeting of the European branch of the Trilateral Commission, a discussion group often called "the world's shadow government," started in Belgrade on Saturday.
