Earthquake Measuring 4.5 on Richter Scale Rocks Southern Romania

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale was registered in southern Romania on Monday afternoon but no casualties or damage were reported.

According to data from the European-Mediterranean Seismology Center (EMSC), the tremor occurred at 15.09 local time (13.09 UTC) in the region of Vrancea mountain.

The epicenter was about 130 km north of Romanian capital Bucharest at a depth of 120 km.
