Dacic to attend W. Balkans conference in Berlin Wednesday
BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, who is also foreign minister, will on Wednesday attend the 6th conference of foreign ministers of Western Balkan states, to be held in Berlin under the auspices of the German and British foreign ministers, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Philip Hammond.
Besides Steinmeier and Hammond, the conference, organised by the Aspen Institute Germany, will be attended by the foreign ministers from the Western Balkan region and members of the Bundestag and the European Parliament, the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The conference is a traditional meeting where the foreign ministers of Western Balkan states discuss numerous matters in the field of regional cooperation, the statement said.
A separate ministerial meeting will be followed by a segment dedicated to economic measures and a panel discussion about the Western Balkans on the path of European integrations and sustainable progress and reforms.
Dacic's attendance at the conference will also be an opportunity for discussions with Steinmeier and Hammond, regional foreign ministers and other prominent participants of the conference, the statement said.
