UN Security Council meeting on Kosovo postponed
BELGRADE - The Thursday meeting of the UN Security Council that was to be used to present the latest quarterly report on Kosovo by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has been postponed, according to the UN website.
The meeting was originally scheduled for November 13 in the provisional schedule for Security Council meetings in November, but it has been deleted from the agenda in the meantime and the new date has not been listed yet.
In his report from October 31, Ban expressed concerned over the political limbo in Pristina and called on Kosovo's leaders to do more to find a solution and resume the talks with Belgrade as soon as possible.
The authorities in Pristina requested that the Security Council postpone the meeting because new institutions had not been established in Kosovo since the elections in June, the media in Pristina have reported.
The new date of the meeting has not been set yet.
