Brammertz to visit Serbia next week

THE HAGUE - Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) Serge Brammertz will pay a visit to Serbia next week within his visit to the region in the course of the preparations of the regular report for the UN Security Council, ICTY released on Wednesday.

During his stay in Belgrade from November 17 to 19, Brammertz will confer with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic concerning the cooperation between Serbia and ICTY, states the ICTY release.

The ICTY chief prosecutor should also meet with Serbian Minister of Interior Affairs Nebojsa Stefanovic, Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic, Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic and War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic.

Brammertz will also confer with representatives of the international community in Belgrade.

Prior to his visit to Serbia, Brammertz will visit Sarajevo in Bosnia-Herzegovina, from November 12 to 14.

Brammertz should file his regular six-month report to the UN Security Council in the second week of December.
