Man stole intimate images from computers of 116 women

A 28-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly tricking dozens of women into giving him access to their computers, from which he stole personal data, including intimate photos and videos.

The man, who was not named, is alleged to have conned 116 women between May 2013 and October 2014.

The suspect set up Facebook accounts with which he pretended to be a postgraduate student at the University of Patras that was working on new anti-virus software.

He convinced his victims to download a program that allowed him to have remote access to their computers, from which he stole the data.
