NBS: Inflation to total 2.5 percent by end of year
BELGRADE - The inter-annual inflation will total around 2.5 percent in the next few months, which is the upper limit of the target inflation rate, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) stated.
NBS released that there is a chance for inflation to remain within the 4 percent plus or minus 1.5 percent target rate in some months.
NBS posted on its website that the inter-annual inflation in October recorded a drop and totalled around 1.8 percent.
Quoting the data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the central bank recalls that consumer prices dropped by 0.2 percent in October, which is for the most part the result of drop of food prices, primarily fresh fruit prices.
The growth of base inflation also dropped and now totals 1.9 percent of inter-annual inflation, NBS stated in the release.
