Ponta: My first visit as president to be paid to Chisinau
Prime Minister Victor Ponta, standing for president of Romania in this Sunday's runoff said in Slatina (southern Romania) on Wednesday that the first visit he will pay in his president's capacity will be to Chisinau.
During an electoral visit to Olt county, Ponta attended a rally at Dobrun, the rural town where he garnered the highest number of votes — 93.7 percent — in the first round of the presidential elections from Nov. 2. He thanked his Social Democrats based in Olt county for the results he got in the first round of voting and told them that even in the event they rank first nationwide in terms of the results of the runoff, it will not be to Olt that he will pay his first visit after winning the elections, but to the neighbouring Republic of Moldova.
