No teacher to return 150 euros subvention (Ministry of European Funds)

The Ministry of European Funds (MFE) dismissed media allegations about teachers having to return a 150 euros subvention.

In a release to AGERPRES on Thursday, the ministry explicitly stated that 'teachers will not return a single penny of the 150 euros subvention' received in a project within the Sectoral Operational Programme for Human Resources Development (SOPHRD); the project 'is in accordance with all the European rules.'

MFE mentioned that the procedures in force give the responsibility of implementing this project to the Ministry of National Education, as beneficiary; MFE will check the process through its Management Authority for the SOPHRD, when the beneficiary asks for the reimbursement of its expenses.

MFE pointed out that 'the European funds allocated to Romania are not used for electoral purposes,' and publicly called for 'stopping the misinformation and manipulation of electoral nature.'AGERPRES
