Pajtic, Davenport discuss situation in Vojvodina
NOVI SAD - President of the Government of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Bojan Pajtic and Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport met on Thursday to discuss the current situation in the Serbian northern province after the recent government reshuffle, and creating the right conditions to attract investors.
The talks also touched on the cooperation between the provincial and the national administration on the realization of plans that are vital for the economic and business development of Vojvodina, the provincial government's office of public relations released.
The provincial government invited the government of Serbia to hold a joint session in order to reach an agreement on responding to challenges that the two governments are now facing, said Pajtic.
Such cooperation is also a matter of responsibility, as the most important task for all of us is to resolve the key economic and social issues in a way that mirrors the EU's democratic values, the release states.
The two officials agreed that the excellent communication between the head of provincial government and the European institutions confirms the commitment of Serbia and AP Vojvodina to EU integration.
