Voter turnout abroad: 114,607 ballots cast by 1 p.m.

As many as 114,607 Romanian voters living abroad turned out to the ballot by 1 p.m. on Sunday in the second round of voting for President of Romania, according to figures received by the Central Electoral Bureau from 263 polling stations out of a total 294 set up abroad.

According to the Bureau, the highest turnout was in Italy (29,362 voters), then Spain (24,077) and the Republic of Moldova (15,328).

Other countries with a significant voter presence at the polls are the UK (5,893), France (5,685), Germany (5,635), Belgium (4,213), Austria (3,106), Cyprus (1,724), Denmark (1,522), Australia (1,493), Greece (1,324), Switzerland (1,083), the United Arab Emirates (1,009), Luxembourg (910), Sweden (825) and Hungary (800).AGERPRES
