Election Bureau: 378,811 Romanians from abroad voted in presidential runoff

As many as 378,811 Romanian voters have cast their ballots on Sunday in the second round of the presidential elections, according to the figures received by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) from the 294 polling stations set up abroad by 8 a.m. on Monday.

According to BEC, the highest voter turnout was recorded in Italy (96,724 voters), followed by Spain (83,153) and the Republic of Moldova (35,630).

Romanians went to the polls in significant numbers too in Great Britain (25,930), the United States (17,710), Germany (17,510), France (16,114), Belgium (13,076), Austria (9,565), Canada (6,472), Denmark (4,852), Cyprus (4,491), the Netherlands (3,842), Switzerland (3,745), Ireland (3,722), Greece (3,451), Hungary (3,249), Portugal (2,850), Luxembourg (2,433), the United Arab Emirates (2,328), the Czech Republic (1,950), Norway (1,902), Sweden (1,782), San Marino (1,779), Australia (1,506), Israel (1,441), Slovakia (1,321).AGERPRES
