Algeria will continue to support Serbian position on Kosovo
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic met in Belgrade with Speaker of the Algerian People's National Assembly Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, who said that Algeria will continue to support Serbia's position on Kosovo-Metohija.
Khelifa thanked his hosts for the warm welcome, describing the cooperation between the two countries as open and sincere, the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a release on Monday.
Stefanovic expressed the gratitude to Algeria for its principled position of not recognizing the independence of Kosovo-Metohija and for respecting the decisions and the policy of Serbia in defending its territorial integrity.
The minister thanked the Algerian assembly speaker for the assistance provided by the Algerian government as a show of solidarity with the people of Serbia affected by the May floods.
Stefanovic stressed that the Serbian side is interested in enhancing cooperation with the Algerian police, particularly in the areas of irregular migration, terrorism and international search for terrorists.
