Serbia, China defence industries to cooperate

BEIJING - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic visited Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation within his visit to China and on this occasion, he also signed a Memorandum on cooperation on behalf for the Serbian Ministry.

During Gasic's visit, the Memorandum on understanding between companies Yugoimport-SDPR and ChinaPolyGroupCorporation was also signed, which represents an important contribution to the development of cooperation in defence industry.

The signing of the agreements will elevate bilateral military cooperation to a higher level and create the formal legal framework for intensification of overall cooperation between the two countries, the Serbian Defence Ministry stated on its website.

The Agreement on military donation worth USD 1.1 million and the Memorandum on cooperation between the two defence universities were signed previously.

Minister Gasic is staying in a five-day visit to China.
