Platinum Wolf 2015 exercise to take place in South base

BELGRADE - Military exercise Platinum Wolf 2015 is underway in base South near Bujanovac, southern Serbia, and it gathers around 360 members of the Serbian Armed Forces, United States Marine Corps Forces Europe and armies of Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania and Croatia.

The focus of the exercise rests on the execution of various tasks in peacekeeping missions. The exercise also gathers members of the Gendarmerie of the Serbian Interior Ministry, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia posted on its website.

The Platinum Wolf 2015 exercise aims to provide training for members of the armed forces of participating countries and enable them for more efficient use of non-lethal weapons, as well as better planning and execution of tasks in peacekeeping operations in a multinational environment.

The exercise is taking place from November 16 to 27, and the troops were visited by Chief-of-staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubisa Dikovic on Friday.
