Udovicki: Debate on e-administration strategy in December

BELGRADE - The public debate on the e-administration strategy will be held in December, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Kori Udovicki, who is also minister of state administration and local self-government, announced on Tuesday.

2015 will also be the year of work on the legislative infrastructure for e-administration and establishing the required registers of citizens, the employed population and institutions, which will make it possible to create true and complex services for the citizens and the economy, Udovicki said at a conference on the challenges and prospects of e-administration in the Serbian state administration, organised by the Serbian Ministry of Interior.

"We want a state that is a service for the citizens and the economy, a state that will be an instrument for accelerating the development of the country," said Udovicki, who thanked the donors, in particular the Kingdom of Sweden, for assistance in utilising the capabilities of e-administration in the best way possible.

Among the first to recognise the significance of e-administration was the Ministry of Interior, which has made its services available to the citizens through the national e-administration portal, Udovicki noted, adding that over half a million vehicles have been registered via a service on the portal, the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government said in a statement.
