NBS: RSD 1.02 trillion of savings in banks

BELGRADE - Citizens' savings has been on a constant rise and the figures reached RSD 1,020.9 billion in October, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) released on Friday.

Measured in euros in keeping with the NBS official middle exchange rate, Serbian citizens' savings totalled around EUR 8.46 billion in October 2014.

The latest NBS Statistical Bulleting showed that citizens' deposits in banks increased by RSD 46.6 billion since January 2014.

According to the same source, overall foreign currency savings in October totalled RSD 981.24 billion, while the dinar-denominated deposits totalled RSD 39.65 billion.

At the end of January, citizens' foreign currency savings totalled RSD 939.51 billion, while the dinar-denominated savings totalled RSD 34.84 billion.
