Man shoots wife then himself in Thessaloniki

A woman and her husband were in critical condition over the weekend after the man allegedly shot his wife twice in the face before turning the gun on himself last Friday.

According to police reports, the man walked into a florist store in the area of Toumba in the northern port city of Thessaloniki, where his spouse was an employee, and shot her with a rifle.

The suspect initially refused to leave the premises but later shot himself.

They were both taken to a local hospital where the woman was being treated at the intensive-care unit.
