Vucic begins bilateral meetings

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic began a series of bilateral meetings held as part of the Third Meeting of Heads of Government of China and Central and Eastern European Countries with a meeting with Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng Tuesday morning.

The first prime minister that Vucic will meet with is Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, and it will be followed by meetings with counterparts from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Vjekoslav Bevanda, from Romania, Victor Ponta, from Slovenia, Miro Cerar, from Latvia, Laimdota Straujuma, and from the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman.

Vucic will also hold talks with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Roivas, Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz and Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico.

VUCIC,YANG DISCUSS CONSTRUCTION OF BELGRADE-BUDAPEST RAILWAY

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Minister of Transport of the People's Republic of China Yang Chuantang discussed Tuesday the construction of a high-speed rail line between Belgrade and Budapest and methods to finance the project.

The two officials highlighted the need for a feasibility study to be completed by June 2015 to have the railway built by June 2017, the government's media relations office said in a release.

Talks on the project to build a double-track railway for rolling stock that can travel at 200 km/h were started during the visit of Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to the People's Republic of China in September this year.
