Djokovic, Williams named 2014 ITF World Champions

LONDON - Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Serena Williams of the United States were named 2014 World Champions by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) on Thursday.

This is the fourth time for World No. 1 Djokovic to receive this honor. Besides winning his seventh Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, he claimed six more titles in 2014, including the ATP World Tour Finals in London, his third in four years.

Williams was named Women's World Champion for the fifth time in her career during which she won a total of 18 Grand Slam titles, the latest being the 2014 US Open.

The 2014 Doubles World Champions are Americans Bob and Mike Bryan in the men's and Italians Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in the women's category.
