Man Presumed Dead After Blast at Bulgarian Hunting Ammo Factory
One man was presumed dead and two women were severely injured by a blast at a Bulgarian fireworks and hunting ammunition factory on Friday.
According to BGNES news outlet, the explosion at the privately-owned factory in Maglizh, some 200 km east of Sofia, occurred around 1130 EET (0930 UTC).
The reasons for the blast were not immediately known.
A man working in the factory had remained under the rubble and was presumed dead. The two injured women were taken to hospital in the city of Stara Zagora.
Firefighting teams have arrived at the site which was sealed off by police.
The blast at Maglizh occurred less than three months after an explosion at a factory for dismantling outdated mines in Gorni Lom killed 15 and left three people wounded.
