ForMin Aurescu: Paris attack is of revolting cowardice on media, civilised world

The terrorist attack on the Paris-based offices of Charlie Hebdo weekly is one of revolting cowardice on the media and the civilised world and represents an attack on the core of democracy, on the fundamental values and freedoms, Romanian Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu said in a press release to AGERPRES on Wednesday.

The minister voices 'deep outrage' at the attack, which he describes as unprecedented.

'This act of extreme gravity against the press representatives is an attack on the very core of democracy and the fundamental values and freedoms. We most categorically condemn this terrorist act, which is an attack of revolting cowardice on the media and the civilised world. Romania, alongside the European partners will continue supporting the fight against terrorism under all its forms of manifestation', Aurescu underscored.

'Our thoughts go to the families of the victims. We are by the side of the entire friendly French people, deeply suffering at these tragic moments', the Romanian top diplomat said.AGERPRES
