PM Ponta asks FinMin and BNR Governor to discuss about the Swiss Franc's massive surge

Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Friday asked the Minister of Finances Darius Valcov and the central bank [the Romanian National Bank - BNR] Governor Mugur Isarescu to discuss about the Swiss Franc's massive surge this week.

The Prime Minister confirmed this information to AGERPRES.

The Swiss Franc soared as much as 30 per cent on the international markets on Thursday, after the National Bank of Switzerland [BNS] abandoned the 1.20 Francs cap on the currency's value against the euro that was introduced in 2011.
