TIKA from Turkey donates EUR 1.35 million for flood repairs

BELGRADE - Turkish Development Agency (TIKA) Vice President Ali Maskin has met Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajic and said TIKA would provide EUR 1.35 million for projects aimed at repairing the damage caused by the May 2014 floods in Serbia.

Ljajic, who is also the minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications, discussed with Maskin on Monday the projects that TIKA would fund in Serbia, according to a release from Ljajic's office.

Maskin stated that the funds would go to four projects proposed by the Serbian government office for aid and repairs in flooded areas.

TIKA will continue to fund various projects in Serbia, while making sure those are investments that would bring new jobs, Maskin noted.
