Prime Minister Vu?i? for Swiss newspaper "Blick" Serbia is not a Russian puppet

- I came to Davos to learn something, to meet people who would like to invest in my country. As a Prime Minister, I need friends, and I think this is the place where I will find them - Aleksandar Vu?i? said in an interview for Swiss newspaper "Blick", yesterday in Davos.

- I will have 14 billateral meetings in Davos. Among others, with the Prime Minister of China, Turkey and German chancellor Angela Merkel - Serbian Prime Minister stated for "Blick."

 

He also said that Serbia has a lot to offer, including help for the West, but that the main policy is to stay neutral.

 

Answering the question how will OEBS react to violence in Ukraine, Prime Minister said that conflict is very bad for entire European continent, and that all of us need to work a lot to achieve peace.

 

When it comes to relations between Serbia and Russia, Vu?i? said the two countries have historical bonds, but again repeated that Serbia is neutral.

 

- Our relations are historical. I think that our relation could be very useful for the EU in its effort for gaining peace. We are not Russian puppets, we are no one's puppets. I said to Vladimir Putin that we want to enter the EU. We are very close with Russia, but our goal is entering the European union - Prime Minister said clearly.

 

Aleksandar Vu?i? is sure that it is possible for Serbia to have friendly relations with Russia and EU, and that European union could have multiple benefits from such friendship.

 

He added that he hopes Serbia will enter EU in 2019. and that Kosovo's independece is not acceptable for Serbian government.
