Crvena Zvezda scores first victory in Top 16

BELGRADE - Crvena Zvezda defeated Alba from Berlin 86-69 (22-12 25-17 17-18 22-22) in the 5th round of the Euroleague Top 16 stage in Belgrade on Thursday.

This was Crvena Zvezda's first win in group E, and it is extremely important because it allowed the team to catch up to Alba, by making them suffer their third defeat so far, and become one of the candidates for the quarterfinals again.

Crvena Zvezda's next opponent will be Zalgiris in Belgrade on February 5, while Alba will play against Panathinaikos at home on eday later.
