'Nase telo' by Dane Komljen at Rotterdam Film Festival

BELGRADE - Short feature film 'Nase telo' (Our body) by Dane Komljen saw its premiere at the official selection of the International Film Festival Rotterdam on January 25 and it has been nominated for the European Film Academy award known as the European Oscar.

Dart film & Video Production said in the release that film Our Body was created in cooperation with James Lattimer who wrote the voiceover, while Komljen directed the film and had a hand in the montage of music, image and sound, and Dart Film and Kino Glaz from Belgrade were film producers.

Komljen is one of the most promising young directors in the region and its previous short films were displayed at over 80 local and international film festivals.

Film 'Ja vec jesam sve ono sto zelim da imam' (I Already Am Everything I Want to Have) was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010 in the Cinefondation selection, where it won the third place, while film 'Tjelesna funkcija' (Bodily Function) saw its regional premiere at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2011, where he won the Atlantic Grupa Award and it also won the international award at the Rotterdam Film Festival in 2012.

Komljen's experimental film 'Sitna ptica' (Tiny Bird) saw its premiere in 2013 at the FID International Film Festival of Marseille and another Komljen's film, 'Visak vjetra' (A Surplus of Wind) saw its premiere in the competition programme of the Film Festival Locarno and Sarajevo Film Festival.

Komljen is now finalising the filing of his first feature-length film 'Prije neprijateljstva' (Before enmity), starring Boris Isakovic and Boban Kaludjer.
