PKS: Strengthening of Serbian-German economic ties

BELGRADE - Over 100 companies based in Baden-Wuerttemberg have good experience of doing business in Serbia, and many others are interested in investing in the country, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Marko Cadez said on Wednesday.

After the business conference in Stuttgart, which brought together around 80 participants and included an address by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Cadez expressed hope that the event will further promote the economic relations between Serbia and Germany, and attract new investors from Baden-Wuerttemberg, one of the more economically developed German federal states, PKS said in a release.
"Based on the addresses by Prime Minister Vucic and Finance Minister (Dusan) Vujovic on the fiscal consolidation process, the German businessmen could form a clear picture of Serbia's progress and its advantages as an investment and business destination," said Cadez.

As part of the conference in Stuttgart, meetings were organized between the officials of the Serbian and German IT companies.

Serbia was represented by five companies that sell their products abroad - Execom, Comtrade, Comtrade - Comtrade Solutions Engineering, Comtrade Group novelIC and Elsys Eastern Europe, while the German firms attending the meetings included Bosch Sensortec, Gigatronik and Evomotiv.

The conference was organized by Forum Serbia - Germany, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Stuttgart, with the support of PKS, Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stuttgart region.
