Juncker to Tsipras: "Don't assume the eurozone will accept your plans!"
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker told Greece's new government that it should not assume that the eurozone partners would agree with the promises that the new Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras made to Greek voters. Juncker told reporters on Monday that Tsipras "only partly addressed' concerns Brussels has regarding his plans during his speech on Sunday evening.
Speaking ahead of talks with Germany's Social Democrats (SPD) on Monday, Juncker said that Greek plans to dismantle the austerity program prescribed by Germany was akin to setting itself on a collision course with EU partners.
