Leaked HSBC files reveal 60 + 1 holders of undeclared black accounts (List)

The disclosure of leaked HSBC confidential documents that reveal how the Swiss bank was helping its wealthy clients, including several Greeks, to conceal millions of their assets, has caused global uproar during the last 24 hours.

As it seems, the bank had set up an international tax evasion system through its subsidiary, essentially advising customers on how to circumvent domestic tax authorities in order to avoid paying taxes and conceal millions of dollars.

The files that were obtained through an international collaboration of news outlets, including the Guardian, the French daily Le Monde, CBS 60 Minutes and the Washington-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, showed that the bank:

- Regularly allowed customers to withdraw millions, often in foreign, limited circulation currency in Switzerland.

- Was using “aggressive” systems to enable rich clients to avoid European taxation.

- Colluded with customers to conceal undeclared ‘black’ accounts from domestic tax authorities.

- Provided services to international criminals and other high-risk individuals
