Serbia committed to reform processes, EU integration

BELGRADE- Serbian Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic said on Tuesday in talks with a delegation of the German Bundestag that Serbia is committed to reform processes and EU integration.

Gojkovic noted that the opening of a chapter in the EU entry talks would give a fresh momentum to Serbia's EU integration.

The EU would thus send a signal to Serbian citizens, who clearly backed the country's EU path in the previous elections, that the bloc needs Serbia, and that it does not have enlargement fatigue, Gojkovic said.

The Serbian parliament speaker talked with the German parliamentarians, led by Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the States of South-Eastern Europe Peter Weiss, about Serbia's regional cooperation and cooperation with Germany in international parliamentary organizations.

The Bundestag delegation comprised deputy chairs of the parliamentary friendship group Josip Juratovic, Alexander Neu, and members Heinz Wiese, Dirk Voepel and Ute Finckh-Kraemer.
