The volume "Romania's new wave", a hub of ideas, launched in Bucharest

The volume "Romania's new wave" was released on Tuesday evening in a major event organised in Bucharest. The coordinator Marius Stoian said that this book is "a hub of ideas".

Stoian stressed that the volume is released "in a context where things seem to collapse" but, according to him, current events offer a "fabulous opportunity" to the civil society "that highlights people".

"A book of this kind is a strong signal that Romania has the human resources capable of producing contemporary ideas and projects, elite connected to the flow of ideas and universal values", added the coordinator of the volume.

"The book is a hub of ideas," he concluded, adding that the project's team will try to carry the message of this volume in all reputable universities. "2015 will be the year of generation Y," said Stoian.

"When I was invited to write I had a hesitation and I asked if really it is my place in this bundle of enthusiasm. A characteristic of our times is that the lines are scattered. Our society needs freshness, people who are not prisoners of fundamentalisms," said member of the Romanian Academy Daniel Daianu and noted that "Romania's new wave" is considerably more than a collection of essays.

"At the root of evil that we fight stands the educational failure and many authors declare that they are determined to fight for better education," said member of the Romanian Academy Solomon Marcus.
