Gasic: Serbian defense industry attracts much interest

ABU DHABI - Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic attended on Sunday the opening of 12th International Defense Exhibition and Conference, IDEX 2015, dedicated to military technologies and innovations in Abu Dhabi.

At the exhibition, we have successfully presented our defense industry, Gasic told Tanjug after visiting the stand of the Serbian company Yugoimport-SDPR.

He noted that the joint project of Serbia and the United Arab Emirates "Atlas C" attracted much attention at the fair.

Gasic said that he had meetings with the defense ministers of Italy, Indonesia, Pakistan and Iraq, and that he will talk with colleagues from the UAE on Sunday evening.

He underscored that the conference and bilateral talks assured him that foreign companies are interested in the Serbian defense industry.

Gasic is on a four-day visit to Abu Dhabi at the invitation of Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and constitutional monarch of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
