Meeting of Romania's Senate, Serbia's National Assembly committees for foreign affairs
The members of the Romanian Senate's committee for foreign affairs on Monday had a meeting with the delegation of the committee for foreign affairs of the National Assembly of Serbia, as part of the delegation's official visit to Romania, informs a press release remitted to AGERPRES.

Romanian Senate's committee for foreign affairs head Petru Filip reiterated during the discussions the support which Romania grants to Serbia's European path, but also to the Romanian state's availability to provide the technical support 'needed for successfully covering all chapters on the negotiation agenda with the EU.'
"The Romanian side also underscored the need to observe the individual and collective rights and freedoms of the national minorities of Serbia, bringing into discussion the issues the Romanians in the north-east of Serbia are confronted with, outstandingly important conditions for keeping the cultural identity, according to the international principles and standards," shows the Senate press release remitted to AGERPRES on Monday.
In what concerns the European cooperation area, the Romanian side made an appeal to the Serbian representatives to "a correct and equidistant approach" of the conflict in Ukraine, taking into account "the outstandingly important role Serbia plays in managing this issue, in the context of taking over the OSCE Chairmanship."
During the meeting, the president of the committee for foreign affairs of Serbia's National Assembly Aleksandra Djurovic, informed the Romanian side on the progress her country made in respect with the chapters of negotiation with the EU and thanked Romania for the support granted to Serbia, but also for the constant position in the Kosovo...
