Fipresci Serbia awards go to The Cannon Was Hot
BELGRADE - The award of the International Federation of Film Critics Fipresci Serbia for the best movie made in Serbia in 2014 went to Top je bio vreo (The Cannon Was Hot) produced by Tihomir Stanic.
The award for the best director went to Slobodan Skerlic, while the award for the best actress was presented to Anita Mancic both for The Cannon Was Hot.
The movie Branio sam Mladu Bosnu (The Man Who Defended Gavrilo Princip) earned two Fipresci awards for the best scenario - Srdjan Koljevic and the best actor - Nikola Rakocevic.
The award for the best documentary-feature film went to Love Hunter, Price iz njujorskog taksija (Love Hunter, Stories from a New York cab) by brothers Bala.
The movie Montevideo, vidimo se (See You in Montevideo) by Dragan Bjelogrlic carried off three awards: photography - Goran Volarevic, film music - Manjifiko and costume - Dragica Lausevic.
The movie Mamula (Nymph) by Milan Todorovic earned two awards for film editing - Filip Dedic and production design - Ivan Denic.
The best foreign movie shown in the Serbian cinemas was Russian drama film Leviathan distributed by MegaCom Film.
The Fipresci Serbia awards were presented at the Cinematography Museum in Belgrade on Wednesday.
These are the only film awards presented by Serbian critics and journalists in 12 categories since 1993.
