Serbian, Iraqi defence ministers discuss cooperation

BAGHDAD - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic conferred with his Iraqi counterpart Khaled al-Obeidi concerning the cooperation between the two ministries on Wednesday.

The goal of Gasic's visit to Iraq is to define the priorities and tangible cooperation projects in the defence sector, the Serbian Ministry released.

On Tuesday, Gasic conferred with Chairman of Iraqi Parliament's Committee on Security and Defense Hakim Al-Zamili concerning security challenges and they agreed that terrorism and religious extremism constitute the greatest threats.

The Serbian defence minister will be visiting Iraq on Thursday as well.
