BELGRADE- The bill on inspections the government adopted on Friday will reform this field, and there will also be a coordination commission that will process the information to harmonise work plans, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government has said.
The government adopted the bill on inspections proposed by the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Administration and Local Government Kori Udovicki stressed that the bill would bring inspection planning and coordination, which would have a powerful effect on several key aspects of the economy.
The draft law also includes forming a coordination commission that will collect and process all the information on inspection activities in order to harmonise their plans.
"No one will be able to avoid inspection," she stressed, adding that it would be a lot harder to avoid punishment.
Serbia's economy will benefit the most from the law, and it fought for its adoptiong the most anyway, Udovicki stated, adding that reduction of unfair competition and support for fair competition were particularly important.
The government accepted also the proposal by the Council for Public Administration Reform regarding the basis for a loaw on rationalisation, the ministry said.
Based on that, a working group will be created to come up with the rationalisation law, which will use unique principles to regulate issues like the reduction of employees and costs in public administration, define jurisdiction, responsibilities and organisations based on a deep functional analysis and come up with measures for efficient control of maintaining an optimal number of employees.
