Djokovic pulls further ahead in ATP rankings
LONDON - World number one Novak Djokovic moved further ahead of Switzerland's Roger Federer, in 2nd place, in the latest ATP rankings, posted on Monday.
Despite the defeat in the final in Dubai, Djokovic increased his lead, since Federer merely defended his title, while Djokovic stayed in the tournament longer than lasy year, when he was ousted in the semifinals.
Djokovic now has 13,165 points, or 3,960 more than Federer, while Spain's Rafael Nadal took thrid place from Andy Murray of the UK after winning a tournament in Buenos Aires.
The defeat to Croatia's Borno Coric resulted in Murray's frop to 5th spot, with Kei Nishikori of Japan in 4th place.
Viktor Troicki continued to improve his rankings, moving to 41st place from 43rd with 1,065 points. Dusan Lajovic is now 71st in the world with 685 points, an improvement of 7 spots. Filip Krajinovic is once again back among the top 100, since he dropped to 101 place last week.
