Kopaonik Business Forum kicks off on Tuesday
BELGRADE - The 22th Kopaonik Business Forum titled "Serbia 2015-2030: New Vision for Industrialization of the Economy and Modernization of the Society" will begin on Tuesday, bringing together a record number of 600 participants.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will open a plenary session under the title "Strategic Audit of Serbia's Position and Recovery Prospects", the government's press office said in a release on Monday.
The forum lasts three days and will gather government officials, governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), officials of the EU Delegation to Serbia, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other international financial institutions.
Several ambassadors also confirmed their attendance, as well as representatives of Serbian companies and banks, and Serbia's distinguished economic theoreticians and investors from Serbia and the region.
Over 100 panelists will take part in this year's Kopaonik Business Forum, popularly known as "Serbia's Davos", Tanjug learned from President of the Serbian Association of Economists (SES) Aleksandar Vlahovic.
One of the key topics that the forum will tackle is the restructuring of public enterprises, which are a "critical point" for success of our structural reforms, he underlined.
We will hold a discussion whether our monetary policy should be eased since we have a responsible fiscal policy, and whether the government can have a positive impact on the economic activity and growth through bigger fixed investment.
