Bulgarian Fast Food Chain Aladin Foods Sets Foot in Romania

A Bulgarian fast food chain, Aladin Foods, is setting foot in Romania, according to its owner, Khaled Kharfan.

In Kharfan's words, as cited by the Bulgarian Economy magazine, the expansion program starts in Bucharest, with three other towns to follow, including the border town of Giurgiu.

Before that, two new restaurants will be opened in Romania in partnership with the Kaufland chain of stores.

The company continues its expansion in Bulgaria too.

Two new sites were opened in Ruse, thereby making the total of Aladin Foods restaurants 30, with 12 of them located in Sofia.

The company also has factory in Plovdiv for processing poultry, potato, and bread, as well as other products used by the fast food chain.

The total staff of the company now reaches 800.

In 2014 Aladin Foods launched a project worth BGN 4 M envisaging the modernization and the expansion of the capacity of the bread oven and the potato processing unit.
