Girl attacks social worker and policeman with acid
ALEKSINAC -- A 14-year-old girl in the town of Aleksanac has thrown liquid "believed to be hydrochloric acid" on a social center worker and a policeman, RTS is reporting.
The girl first "clashed" with the local Social Service Center employees, prompting them to call the police.
When she saw the officers, the girl "produced the liquid and sprayed in on the Center's employee and the policeman."
Both have received medical treatment for their injuries, the public broadcaster said.
The girl, raised by her single mother, is "registered with the Center." According to the report, she is now being held "and will be sent to an adequate health institution for treatment."
