Bristol mum shocked to find spider egg-laced banana
A 43-year-old mum in Bristol was shocked this week when she realized that a banana who she was about to feed her child was full of … spider eggs.
As it turned out, the eggs belonged to one of the most poisonous spiders in the world, a species that prefers to nest its eggs in bananas.
The woman quickly slipped the banana in a box and placed it in the fridge.
However, the thought of “baby spiders” hatching in her refrigerator during the night prompted extra action.
A similar incident with a spider-egg-filled banana occurred in Essex last year.
